CODY AI: SPRING WORKOUT CONTEST - OFFICIAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. CONTEST OVERVIEW
The Cody AI: Spring Workout Contest invites participants to create original workout-themed songs using Cody AI for lyrics generation and any AI music generator of their choice for the instrumental & vocals. The contest is designed purely for fun, with no physical or monetary prize. It offers participants the opportunity to showcase their creativity and have their songs potentially featured in Cody AI promotional materials.

2. CONTEST PERIOD
Start Date: April 4, 2025, at 12:00 AM (Central Time)
End Date: April 13, 2025, at 11:59 PM (Central Time)
Winner Announcement: No later than April 20, 2025, at 11:59 PM (Central Time)

3. ELIGIBILITY
The contest is open worldwide, except where prohibited by law.
No age requirement – participants of all ages are welcome.

4. SONG REQUIREMENTS
Lyrics: Participants are required to use Cody AI for lyric generation.
Music: Use any AI music generator of your choice to create the instrumental & vocals and complete the song.
Theme:
- Songs should ideally focus on workout-related themes, using motivational phrases such as "power" or "push it to the limit."
- Songs with an energetic vibe, even if not explicitly about working out, are also acceptable.
Genre: All music genres are welcome.
Duration: No strict length requirements, but songs between 2-4 minutes are recommended.

5. SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
All entries must be submitted through Cody AI's Discord server in the designated contest channel.
Specific Discord server details and instructions will be provided later.
Participants must submit a link or file containing their completed song (MP3, WAV, or a link to a hosted audio file).

6. JUDGING CRITERIA
All entries will be judged internally by Cody AI staff based on the following criteria:
- Creativity – Originality and uniqueness of the song.
- Catchiness – Overall appeal and replay value.
- Energy – Suitability for a workout setting (intensity, tempo, and vibe).
- Relevance to Theme – Use of workout-related lyrics or motivational tone.
The decision of the judges is final and binding.

7. PRIZE AND RECOGNITION
This contest is held for fun only – there is no physical or monetary prize.
The winning song, along with selected runner-ups, may be featured in Cody AI promotional marketing.

8. OWNERSHIP AND USAGE RIGHTS
Ownership: Participants retain full ownership of their songs.
By entering the contest, participants grant Cody AI a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual right to use, promote, and showcase their submitted songs for marketing, promotional, and display purposes.
Attribution: Cody AI will credit the creator when promoting the song.

9. LEGAL LIABILITY AND ARBITRATION
Liability Disclaimer: Cody AI is not liable for any legal claims, lawsuits, or disputes arising from the content of the songs created during this contest.
Participants agree that they are solely responsible for ensuring that their submissions do not infringe on any third-party rights, including copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property.
By entering the contest, participants agree to resolve any disputes through out-of-court arbitration in accordance with applicable laws.

10. GENERAL TERMS
By participating, contestants agree to comply with these terms and conditions.
Cody AI reserves the right to disqualify any participant found violating the rules or submitting inappropriate content.
Cody AI reserves the right to modify or cancel the contest if unforeseen circumstances arise.

11. PRIVACY
Cody AI may collect Discord username and ID and submitted song files or links.
This information will be used to manage contest submissions, determine winners, feature winning entries in promotional materials, and improve Cody AI services.
Cody AI does not sell, rent, or distribute personal data to third parties.
Participants may request removal of their submissions from promotional materials after the contest and can contact Cody AI to inquire about stored data or request deletion.
